WattSmart makes it effortless to understand what the price is right now-at a glance. The app continuously highlights the current time interval on both the price chart and the price table, so you don’t need to search for the right hour or 15-minute slot.

Note: the highlight is “real-time” in the UI sense (always pointing to the current interval), while the prices themselves are based on day-ahead market data (ENTSO-E Transparency Platform).

Always See the Current Price on the Chart

On the chart, WattSmart marks the current interval with a noticeable indicator (a floating dot/marker), so you instantly see where “now” is on today’s curve-whether prices are rising, falling, or stable.

This helps you quickly answer questions like:

  • Is it cheaper right now than in the next few intervals?
  • Are we currently in a low/normal/high area compared to the rest of the day?
  • Is it worth waiting before starting an energy-hungry appliance?

Current Time Highlighting in the Price Table

Prefer numbers instead of a chart? The price table highlights the row for the current time interval, so you immediately see the exact price for “now” and can compare it with the next entries.

This is especially useful when you want to make a quick decision without interpreting the full graph.

Works in Hourly and 15-Minute Resolution

Electricity markets can publish prices in different time resolutions.

WattSmart supports:

  • Hourly prices, for simpler planning and a cleaner overview
  • 15-minute prices, for more detailed timing

You can choose your preferred resolution in the app settings, and the real-time highlight automatically follows that choice across the chart, table, and other UI elements.

Price Level Awareness Across the App

WattSmart doesn’t just show the current price-it also shows the current price level according to your app settings (for example, whether it’s a low/acceptable/high interval based on your configured comparison logic). This makes it easy to understand not only the number, but also what it means for you right now.
